Majority approves 2022 budget as Minority boycotts Parliament today

The Majority caucus in Parliament on Tuesday, November 30, approved the 2022 Budget statement after the NDC MPs boycotted proceedings after failing to reach an agreement with the Majority over the status of the budget.

A total of 138 Members, all from the majority side, out of 275 Members of Parliament, voted to approve the Budget, which was rejected by the House on November 26.

The 138 Majority MPs, who were in attendance, included Mr. Joseph Osei-Owusu, the First Deputy Speaker and MP for Bekwai, who sat in for the Speaker.

The Minority Members of the House were absent from the Chamber of the House.
