7 dead, 8 injured in gory accident at Gomoa Antseadze

Seven people have died on the spot in a gory accident at Gomoa Antseadze on the Cape Coast-Accra highway in the Central region.
Eight others, who were severely injured after being trapped and later rescued, have also been rushed to Apam Hospital for treatment.
It involved a minivan with registration number GW 7920-22, which was travelling from Mankessim to Accra, and another Sprinter bus when the incident occurred at dawn.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, the drivers were racing on the road, which resulted in the accident.
Meanwhile, the accident site has been cleared to allow vehicular flow, but the police are yet to produce a report on the cause of the accident.
