Senegalese-American singer, record producer, and entrepreneur Akon has disclosed that he is a fan of sensational artiste Black Sherif.
Black Sherif is one of the Ghanaian young artistes who have gone international with his music career. He is currently the face of African music.
Speaking about Black Sherif, the African-American music superstar Akon disclosed that the young artiste has helped in the promotion of Afrobeats music to the global music scene.
Speaking in an interview with Eddie Kadi on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Akon revealed that he is a huge fan of Black Sherif. He disclosed that the young artiste reminds him of the ernegy he came into the music with some years back.
Akon further noted that he has listened to Black Sherif’s songs frequently and has warned major record labels about his intentions to work with sensational artiste Black Sherif. He stated that the storyline in Black Sherif’s sounds so real.
He further added that Black Sherif tells the true life story of his struggles in the ghetto. He added that he feels the challenges and pains Black Sherif has passed through in his voice as he sings.
“If no major picks him up, they need to get to him before I do”, Akon warned the major record labels.
