Parliament to vet new Ministerial nominees

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has made the following changes to the composition of his government with immediate effect.
The Appointments Committee of Parliament on Monday, February 20, 2023 will review ministerial and deputy ministerial nominees made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
K.T. Hammond, a Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa, would be the Minister of Trade and Industry, and Stephen Amoah, an MP for Nhyiaeso, would act as his deputy.
Bryan Acheampong, the member of parliament for Abetifi, was nominated as the Minister of Food and Agriculture, and Stephen Asamoah Boateng will head as Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, among other positions.
They are expected to appear before the Committee for vetting chaired by Joe Osei Owusu, first deputy speaker.
Some of the nominees are persons who served in the first term of President Akufo-Addo while others are serving appointees who have been elevated like OB Amoah who has been elevated to Minister of State at the Local Government Ministry from a deputy minister.
