Harry Kane has officially completed a move to Bayern Munich.
Kane leaves Tottenham as arguably their best player in history, scoring 280 goals in 435 games, with 213 of those coming in the Premier League. Only Alan Shearer has scored more top-flight goals (260).
The 30-year-old had just one year left on his deal at Spurs and while the club did everything they could to convince him to stay, the forward’s desire to win trophies outweighed any decision to sign an extension.
Hard to put into words how to say goodbye to a club and fans who have done so much for me in my career. You will always be in my heart. Thank you Tottenham, thank you Tottenham fans. 💙 pic.twitter.com/L662cyax7p

Bayern and Spurs have been locked in negotiations for weeks and it looked as if the England international was going to stay in north London after he set a deadline of Friday following a disagreement between the two over the fee however the Bundesliga champions made an offer too good to turn down.
When asked if a move was imminent earlier this week, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou admitted that he had been planning for life without his talisman.
“It doesn’t take too much investigative work to realise that this was going to happen. A lot of our business up until now has been with that in mind,” he said.
“There’s no doubts he’s one of the greats of this football club. His record speaks for himself. I’m only new in the building but I’m certainly not the spokesman for this football club in declaring people’s status but I think it’s clear Harry Kane is one of the greats.”
He could make his debut against RB Leipzig today (Saturday August 12).
