Kennedy Agyapong, a contender in the just-ended NPP flagbearer race, has urged supporters to rally behind the party to give the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) a showdown.
Agyapong who conceded defeat to Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia said he is ready to help the NPP to retain power come 2024.
He said, “I believe the party has been fair. This is what I’ve been always preaching… I pledge my support that we are going to work tirelessly to break the 8. So we should put everything behind us.
“With unity, I believe we can break the 8…I want to assure you that in 2024 the showdown is being transferred to the NDC. We have to work together to give the NDC a showdown,” Kennedy Agyapong added.
