Dr George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), is currently in Kumawu, Ashanti Region, to check in with the police deployment on the ground and assess the state of security ahead of the Tuesday polls.
He arrived in the area on Saturday, May 20.
The IGP and other top police officials have been patrolling the town’s streets.
As part of a security tour ahead of the upcoming by-election, they have been talking with members of the community, police officers, and motorists.
