KETASCO’s 2021 NSMQ contestant allegedly poisoned to death

James Lutterodt, one of NSMQ finalists who represented Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) in the National Science and Maths Quiz final in 2021, has passed on.
James and his colleagues, Francisca Lamini and Bright Senyo Godzo represented Keta Senior High School (Ketasco) in the competition impressing viewers with their performance throughout the contest to the finale.
Although there have been speculations of food poisoning, the cause of James’ death is not officially known.
James, together with Fransica and Bright took Ketasco to the finals of the NSMQ for the first time in the school’s history.
He reportedly died on Monday morning through suspected food poisoning.
Although they lost to Prempeh College, their talents and efforts did not go unnoticed earning praise from many Ghanaians and eventually scholarships among others.
Until his demise, James was pursuing a degree in Computer Science at the University of Ghana.
His family, however, has not yet publicly acknowledged the devastating news or the cause of death.
