Adjetey Anang, a well-known Ghanaian actor, has taken proactive steps to protect his reputation and address possible implications that could taint his clean record as a great actor.

In chapter nine of his book, titled “Marital Challenges and Imperfection,” Adjetey Anang talks about marital challenges including how his wife always forgave him for his escapades.

“To every lady I have been on that path with, I would like to apologize unreservedly for such inappropriate behaviour. I’ve struggled to forgive myself and these experiences have been the lowest points in our marriage and nearly tore us apart. I’m grateful for God and Elom’s forgiveness and the love that has kept us going strong through those dark times,” he wrote.

According to the actor who shot to fame for his role in the popular television series, ‘Things We Do For Love’ in the 90s, said it started as a naïve behaviour with the other sex but it soon developed into heavy flirtation and occasionally went too far.

“You could say I was naive from the start about subtle amorous hints and perhaps made a lot of assumptions about people’s motives till it was too late. Soon, I got bolder, more daring and adventurous and sometimes I initiated flirtatious conversations and led many on. I have been in very compromising situations with ladies. Some started as admiration and fun and after frequent chats, developed into flirting and occasionally went too far,” he writes in the book.

“Yes, I have cheated on my wife before in the various forms that cheating could be defined as, both emotionally and physically,” he writes.

Adjetey Anang who celebrated his 50th birthday on Friday, July 7 launched his memoir Adjetey Anang: A Story of Faith, Imperfection and Resilience, in a star-studded event last Saturday.

The event was graced by a number of his colleague movie actors including Lydia Forson, Prince David Osei, Gloria Sarfo, Martha Ankomah, Jackie Appiah, Nana Ama McBrown and politician Hassan Ayariga among others.
