Leeds United beat Liverpool to move out of the bottom three in the English Premier League.
Leeds upset Liverpool with a stunning late winner, denting the Reds’ top-four ambitions and lifting them out of the Premier League relegation zone.
The hosts had lost their previous league match to bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest, but were looking to build on their 3-0 Champions League victory against Ajax in midweek.
However, they got off to the worst possible start against a relegation-threatened Leeds team when Rodrigo pounced on a weak back ball by Joe Gomez and poked into an empty net.
Liverpool recovered strongly, as Mohamed Salah volleyed in from Andy Robertson’s cross shortly after.
Leeds, despite their terrible place in the standings, responded with incredible energy and drive, hitting the crossbar through Brenden Aaronson.
In the second half, Illan Meslier produced a superb stop to deny Darwin Nunez one-on-one before saving a Roberto Firmino header.
Summerville then picked up the ball from Patrick Bamford before blasting across Alisson to send the away fans berserk in the closing minute of normal time.
The setback is Liverpool’s second in a row in the Premier League, dropping them to ninth place and eight points below the top four, while Leeds rise to 15th.
