Mahama Suspends Campaign In Honour of Rawlings

Former President John Dramani Mahama and the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reacted to the news of Former President Jerry John Rawlings’ death.

Rawlings, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 exactly 10:10am at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

He was the founder of the National Democratic Congress  (NDC) which has produced Presidents such as the late John Evans Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama.

In his response while speaking in a Live coverage at the campaign grounds in Obuasi and sighted by, Mahama ended his campaign that was ongoing in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking about the incident, John Mahama, indicated that he heard the rumour but not an official confirmation.

However he spoke to his campaign team and agreed to end the campaign to return to Accra and schedule it for another time.

According to him, if the news gets confirmed, there will be a proper address to the press and Ghanaians at large from the national office of the NDC.
