Ajax will ask for a transfer fee of £40 million for Black Stars attacker Mohammed Kudus in the upcoming summer transfer window, The Athletic has reported.
The young player has attracted interest from several clubs, including Premier League giants, as his performances this season continue to rise.
Kudus has been in great form this season, contributing an impressive tally of 22 goals and 6 assists in 48 games for both club and country.

• 21/22 – 9 starts in 20 games
• 22/23 – 28 starts in 41 gamesKudus has started in 67.5% of games this season. I feel staying would be better than United or Arsenal making him a squad player. pic.twitter.com/ghpEmDW0Hu

Despite being contracted to Ajax until the end of the 2024/25 season, the player has reportedly rejected a one-year contract extension from the club.
During the January transfer window, Kudus was heavily linked with a move away from Amsterdam, with former Everton manager Frank Lampard having discussions with him regarding a potential transfer to the Toffees.
The Athletic reports that Ajax would prefer to sell the player this summer rather than risk entering the final two years of his contract. A fee of £40 million is believed to be sufficient to convince the Eredivisie outfit to sell Kudus.
Clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle United are monitoring the former Right to Dream academy graduate.
