NDC Supporters In Ketu South Protest Over Alleged ‘Stolen’ Verdict

The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) nationwide, protest against the results of the just-ended general elections.

They took to the streets of the constituency on Thursday, December 17, 2020 to demonstrate what they labeled as a “stolen” verdict following the declaration of Nana Akufo-Addo as president-elect in the 2020 polls.

The chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa declared Akufo-Addo the winner of the presidential race.

Mahama rejected the outcome as fundamentally flawed. He said the declaration was a clear violation of the law because the commission did not follow the rules set out to conduct the elections.

The Ketu South demonstration comes on the back of a similar exercise in the Ashanti region by the NDC’s women’s wing on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
