Police are currently looking into Shatta Wale’s post on the murder of Fennec Okyere.

Shatta Wale is in trouble after posting on social media that his previous manager, Bulldog, was involved in the killing of Fennec Okyere, an artist management.

The Police have acknowledged that they are looking into the well-known dancehall performer’s remark from Wednesday during his spat with Bulldog.

Shatta Wale claimed that Bulldog, real name Nana Asiama Hanson, was responsible for the suspected murder of Kwaw Kese’s late manager.

The controversial performer claims to have insider knowledge that may put Bulldog in jail for a very long time, and he is prepared to tell the court what he knows without holding back.

This afternoon, the police announced in a statement that they had spoken with Shatta Wale about the situation:

“The Police Service’s attention has been called to a tweet by Shatta Wale, a.k.a. Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., reporting the passing of artist manager Fennec Okyere. Shatta Wale has been contacted by the police and is assisting us with this.

“The Police would like to put on record that the recently established Cold Case Unit, has been working for months on all unresolved murder cases, including that of Fennec Okyere with support from the affected families. This new development from Shatta Wale is therefore going to complement our ongoing investigation,” the police said in a statement.

On March 13, 2014, unidentified attackers assassinated Fennec Okyere, the well-known artist Kwaw Kese’s manager, at his Manet Gardens home on Spintex Road in Accra.

Bulldog was detained by the Police Criminal Investigative Department (CID) after his death and questioned about it.

But after several years, the police have not yet completed their inquiries.
