The outgoing Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi, Osei Assibey Antwi, has been appointed as the executive director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), a correspondence from the Office of the President announced.
“I am pleased to inform you that the President has appointed you to act as the Executive Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme (the Scheme), pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the Scheme, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission,” the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, informed him in a letter dated September 17, 2021.
“Congratulations to the newly appointed boss of the scheme, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi. The Scheme is proud to have you as the new boss,” the NSS posted on Facebook.
The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Ashanti Regional secretary, Sam Pyne, has been nominated to replace Hon. Antwi as MCE for KMA.
He will now succeed Mustapha Ussif, the MP for Yagaba-Kubori and current sports minister.
