The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has revealed that some male patients of COVID-19 who have recovered  from the illness struggle for sexual satisfaction in penis erection.

In an interview with Abusua FM, Dr. Frank Serebour, Vice President of GMA said that many concerns were  brought to the country’s attention for medical care and response.

According to him, many people recovering from COVID-19 have other abnormalities in their wellbeing, although others have no other complications.

“The aftereffect of COVID-19 is becoming serious, people are suffering here and there, even some studies which suggest some men who have fully recovered from the virus infection are not experiencing penis erection for sexual pleasure,’’ he disclosed.

“These are things we have to let the general public know and understand the need to adhere to all the COVID-19 safety protocols including hand washing, wearing of face masks, and strict adherence to physical social distancing,” he stressed.

However, Dr. Frank Serebour advised the general public to remember that after the complete recovery of COVID-19, there are several consequences.
Meanwhile, Ghana has recorded 372 death toll, 646 new cases and 3,613 active cases.
