Ghanaian screen goddess is joining Onua TV as host of the “Onua Maakye” morning show.

Nana Ama McBrown hosted United Showbiz on UTV for almost three years.

However, a lot of reactions flooded the internet yesterday after she was unveiled as the new addition to Media General.

Some netizens congratulated her whereas others criticised her for leaving UTV.

As part of her unveiling, she was the on 3fm’s Sunrise with Johnnie Hughes today.

During her interview with Johnnie, she touched on why she exited her former workplace.

Though, some viral videos of Ola Micheal of Neat fm and Kwame Nkrumah Tikese labelled her as ungrateful.

The award-winning actress seems unperturbed about any badmouthing.

During the exclusive interview, Nana Ama McBrown said that she spoke to her employers at UTV asking for something new to be done on the usual.

Meanwhile, she also told them she would like to hold on after December. And so, she was still waiting on a call from UTV to engage her on what they can do about the new thing she spoke to them about. So as she wasn’t hearing from them she decided to move on.

McBrown also stated that her previous job prevented her from going to church because she closed very late and since it was a saturday night program, it’s always difficult for her to attend church the next morning.

She added that her decision to join Onua TV/FM was quite difficult for her and had to pray about it for about a month.

However, she is happy for a new chapter in her life.

As is stands now, media personality MzGee is the new host for United Showbiz on UTV.
